Ever wanted to learn to groom your own dog?

Well now is your chance!

This course is designed for the Beginner to learn the basics of their dog and its care.

I will offer a Sunday or Monday Course to any dog owner with small or medium dogs.

This three session course will consist of two hours each. With-in this time frame you will be shown how to;

• the correct way to handle/hold your dog in all aspects of grooming
• properly brush out and comb your dog with the correct equipment for your breed of dog
• to cut your dogs nails, pluck ear hair and clean ears
• to bath and condition your dog in the correct manner
• to instruct you how to use a high velocity dryer to fluff dry and/or hand dry with stand dryer
• to show you the correct clipping pattern(basic pattern only) and scissoring for your dog
• On Poodles to do correct top knot and your choice style of face, and on Shih Tzu’s or mixes the correct Teddy Bear heads or Panda (your choice)
• to clip out between the pads, on poodles clipping clean feet
• to finish the dog with bows and or bandana
• to maintain proper blade care and instruct you to what you would need for the exact equipment and sizes of blades for your dog

These sessions will be done on your own personal dog and is not meant for the purpose of grooming for a business of your own, or for any employer.

These sessions will be every two months for a total of three sessions. Any time incurred after two hour limit will be an addition fee of $60.00 per hour.

The Course fee is to be paid in full at the beginning of the first session. Classes will be on a one on one basis (student and teacher). Any additional time incurred will be paid in full at the end of the class. All students will clean up after their dog and premises.

All equipment shampoos and conditioners etc will be supplied for your use during these sessions. You will be responsible for your dog during these sessions and for any emergency care they may need at your cost. You will be responsible for any damaged or dropped equipment. Ruff cuts will not be held liable for any medical condition or injuries to yourself or your dog. All dogs are to be up to date with vaccinations and be in good health. You will be charged an extra fee if your dog is found to have parasites. ($15.00)

All dogs must have proof of vaccinations within 3 years.

The cost of the course is $600.00 plus GST.

No monies will be returned for any reason. Classes are scheduled every 8 weeks and must be kept. No classes will be rescheduled, no exceptions. No substitutions of dog and/or owner. Ruff Cuts reserves the right to view the dog prior to entering into a contract with the owner.
